Performance competencies & responsibilities:
Scheduling
- Read and understand all phases of project blueprints, project specifications and project contract schedule
- Independently create and present job timelines (Long Interval Schedule) for complete project and (Short Interval Schedule) for 4 weeks out per project contract schedule
- Ensure adherence to project deadlines & milestones and Scope of Work (SOW) and Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) shutdown procedures
- Lead scheduling and coordination for all VAMC area moves
- Ensure adequate manpower needs to maintain project contract schedule
Communication
- Proactively provide clear verbal and written communication regarding all job-related work with all project partners (COR, Subcontractors, FCC)
- Active listening and comprehension to effectively respond to job-related scenarios (All FCC & Subcontractors)
- Collaborate with Project Manager(s) to ensure material/supply needs are met
Construction management reporting
- Maintain records for onsite (FCC and Subcontractors) activities such as daily logs, scope discrepancies, RFIs, etc.
- Proficient in MS 365, ProCore and other technology for keeping track of job progress and effective communication (FCC and Subcontractors)
- Proficient at understanding work in progress (WIP) against FCC estimate, schedule and budget
Health & Safety expertise
- Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and job site organization
- Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Complete OSHA 30 Certification
- Understand and maintain Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) guidelines
- Understand and maintain Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM)
People & project leadership
- Runs projects over $10,000,000
- Trains and develops junior team members
- Independently lead a team to work together and manage all on-site work and personnel (FCC & Subcontractors)
- Proactively identify potential project problems and create solutions to solve them
- Effectively keep job(s) on track based on project scheduling timeline/deadline
- Responsible for all Construction Quality Management (CQM) standards being met according to plans, specifications & schedule (FCC & Subcontractors)
- Ensure all necessary inspections are scheduled in a timely fashion that will not impede the progress of the job
- Lead all necessary Job Progress meetings
