Are you a proactive communicator with a passion for building relationships and growing business? Eby Construction is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding team. The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a vital role in supporting Eby’s growth by driving outbound prospecting efforts that align with the company’s strategic objectives. This individual is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and maintaining detailed and accurate records in the sales database.

As a front-line ambassador for Eby in the community and the construction industry, the BDR also collaborates on marketing initiatives and contributes to proposal development, while supporting sales forecasting and strategic planning.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Champion and uphold Eby’s Core Values in all professional activities.
  2. Execute outbound sales and marketing strategies to generate new business leads.
  3. Identify prospective clients and initiate first contact.
  4. Qualify leads and manage early-stage relationships before transitioning them to the Preconstruction Services Manager.
  5. Monitor and report individual performance against established prospecting benchmarks.
  6. Develop business opportunities across delivery methods, including general contracting, construction management, and design-build.
  7. Assess lead viability by evaluating funding, scope, and overall project feasibility.
  8. Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
  9. Deliver weekly progress updates and insights to the VP of Operations.
  10. Nurture relationships with past and current clients to encourage repeat business (as approved).
  11. Organize and manage historical proposal data for future reference and efficiency.
  12. Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing project proposals to support the business development process.
